iClipper is also good for ramming other ships. But I cannot see the Clipper lasting one on one against much and not for very long if it did. To be honest top speed is really only an advantage when trying to flee combat - the real advantages of the iClipper are the C7 slot (say for 7C Bi-Weave shields or 7A Shield Cell Banks) and its relatively high agility/pitch rate which makes it feel like flying an Eagle on steroids. I could see it being used in a wing situation where fire could be drawn by other fighters and the Clipper could hull tank and concentrate on other ships. It just doesn't pack enough punch or protection for that kind of protracted engagement. NEHET system, pretty close to my home and to achenar. The Imperial Clipper is the quintessential Imperial ship. I don't know why but for me the thing bounces around like it is on a blow up bouncy castle at a child's birthday party. Clipper is also very hard to use in interdictions. I'm thinking about changing my approach to a bi weave setup and go for hull tank more than shield tank. I had to engineer a ton to get it even close to what I want. I also love the Clipper but getting those shields to protect anything longer than a few minutes is nigh impossible. The very definition of a multipurpose ship, the Imperial Clipper is a versatile vessel well suited to a variety of roles. A great ship that can do almost anything and do it quite well.
